Job Description
The Aftermarket Sales Engineer will be a key support in realizing business growth for Atlas Copco’s aftermarket products in Tanzania. This role will focus on increasing product offerings to customers, driving business growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow sales for the service business, including market share with maximized profit.
- Handle customer parts and service enquiries, maximizing sales and concluding service business.
- Support the Aftermarket Manager in developing and implementing strategies to achieve growth and sales targets.
- Frequently visit customers and propose parts and services based on field audit outcomes.
- Follow up on quotations and promptly close parts and service business with customers.
- Manage customer order information and back-order reporting.
- Follow up on receivables to ensure payment terms are met and submit regular debtors’ follow-up reports.
- Ensure adequate customer product support by collaborating with the capital equipment sales team, MR team, warehouse, and logistics team.
- Prepare weekly activity reports for quotations and customer contacts.
- Document customer complaints and submit them to the Aftermarket Manager for analysis and action.
- Manage warranty issues related to capital equipment and service offerings.
- Adhere to SHEQ policies and other requirements relating to equipment care.
- Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.
Qualifications
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field with excellent sales experience.
- Proven sales record from a similar position with a minimum of 2 years in sales of high-quality industrial machines, preferably air compressors.
- Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Good command of French and English.
- Must have a driving license.
- Dynamic and positive attitude.
- Customer-focused and result-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of people in the company.
